Dr. Robert E. Going Jr.

In 1982, Dr. Robert E. Going, Jr. received his D.D.S. degree from Emory University Dental School, graduating in the top of his class. He went on to complete his oral surgery internship and residency in Chicago at the University of Illinois Hospital, Cooke County Hospital and the Westside VA Hospital. He was trained and continues to be certified in advanced cardiac life support and anesthesiology, and has many years experience with wisdom teeth surgery, placement of dental implants, oral pathology, and bone grafting surgery to the jay and facial structures.

Dr. Going is board certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the Honorary Scholastic Dental Fraternity Omicrom Capp Upsilon. He also is a member of the Honorary Pierre Fuchard Dental Society. He has been in private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery form 1986 to the present time.

Dr. Going is one of the most experienced oral surgeons utilizing dental implants to rehabilitate, restore and reconstruct patients with missing teeth who seek a positive life-changing event in chewing function and aesthetics with dental implants and bone grafting. He is up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies utilizing zygomatic and pterygoid implants placed with CT (CAT) scan guided surgery known as TIAH-TIAD (teeth in an hour/teeth in a day) usually in our outpatient setting under general anesthesia.

Dr. Going is also a member of American Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has also served on multiple committees of multiple local area hospitals in the metro Atlanta area. He has had three oral surgery articles published and distributed internationally. He is also a 20+ year member of the Hinman Dental Society and has spoken at their national meetings.
