Background Information

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates has been serving the Metro-Atlanta Area since July 1, 1975. OMS Associates has grown steadily now occupying eight offices, with seven full time specialists to serve your needs.

Our practices cover the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery procedures, including removal of wisdom teeth and general extractions, the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial disease, implant surgery, reconstruction of jaws to accommodate dentures, (jaw malalignment correction surgery) and TMJ (jaw joint surgery). The surgeons are all highly trained in treating traumatic injuries ranging from minor injuries to the most severe injuries (usually involving motor vehicle accidents resulting in multiple bone fractures of the face and lacerations of the skin). They combine the knowledge of the functional relationships of the teeth and jaws with the aesthetic demands of skin repair when treating such injuries.

All of the doctors have vast educational backgrounds, and have completed residencies and internships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They are all board certified or board eligible and have had extensive anesthesia training. They participate in numerous oral surgery and dental organizations, and are all active in civic and community affairs.

Our offices house the most sophisticated and advanced technologies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for adults and children. OSHA guidelines for infection control are strictly enforced to ensure optimum protection for our patients and staff. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, the doctors of Oral Surgery Associates manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. The doctors of Oral Surgery Associates practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from Dental Implant Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal to Corrective Jaw Surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries and Fractures.

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) Sedation or outpatient General Anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Oral Surgery Asscociates & Dental Implant Centers are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of I.V. sedation and surgery. We also have a trained registered nurse (RN) to assist in surgery. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified.
