Meet Atlanta Oral Surgeon, Dr. Larry Parworth
Dr. Larry Parworth is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who is focused on providing exceptional care. He has practiced full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for over 30 years. Currently Dr. Parworth is providing in office procedures concentrating on customized anesthesia, removal of wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants and general oral surgery.
He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Emory School of Medicine where Dr. Parworth is involved in the training of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Parworth received his DDS degree with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency and Master of Science at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill. Dr. Parworth served for 21 years in the United States Air Force where he finished his military career as the Chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at David Grant Medical Center. Prior to joining Oral Surgery Associates, he completed 15 years of private practice in Asheville NC where he continued to train Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents and cover hospital emergency room call. Dr. Parworth has published articles, a textbook chapter and has lectured throughout his entire career.
Originally from Manitowoc Wisconsin, he and his wife Kapi have 3 adult children and 4 Grandchildren who they enjoy spending time with as much as possible. Dr. Parworth is an avid outdoorsman and a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. He has provided volunteer surgical care locally and internationally for the underserved in Nepal, Philippines, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Suriname, Kenya and Chad.
